Yes! Yes! Yes! Obama won!

Historic win, landslide victory, resounding call for change, hope... Those are the words auto-replaying behind a sea of emotions of not just myself but many Americans, I'm sure... Obama became the first ever African-American President. It was a very one-sided victory... a landslide... 349 electoral votes vs 162, and Obama also won the popular vote 52% vs 46%. Not only that, Democrats tightened their reign of the US Senate and House of Rep.

I was following the results this morning from the beginning till the end. Obama didn't start off that well, and I was a bit worried when McCain took Kentucky (8 electoral votes) while Obama took Vermont (3). But the next few hours was nothing short of dramatic and breathtaking. I saw Obama's lead widened to 149 vs 34. And then 207 vs 69. And then I saw Obama exceeded the minimum of 270 to be the next President and it DIDN'T STOP THERE! He captured even more electoral votes, especially from historically Republican states like Ohio, Iowa, Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. It was already over by 11:01 something.

What an election! And Obama sure did come a looooooooooooong way... First, he had to fight off racism, religious accusations, unpatriotism, etc. He definitely had more false accusations than any other presidential nominee in history. Then he had to fight off Hillary. And then all the negative campaigning and ads of McCain. And finally, he defeated McCain in what many thought would be a tight race... but hey, look at the results... nothing short of a landslide.

The good news is, change is coming. And I can feel it :) Now, it's time to celebrate! Wooooohooooooooo!
